So I haven't posted in so long, its probably because I live on Tumblr. Basically the past few weeks have been spent working working working, spending a weekend in New York City (my first time and my heart aches whenever I recall the view driving out, I miss it so so much), buying a Picasso painting printed blazer which I have yet to wear even though its so unbelievably amazing, going into Topshop for the first time (I hyperventilated walking in, how so epic), going on thrifting binges, eating my weight in carbohydrates on Christmas eve and day (boxing day too but whos counting), finishing the novel Memoirs of a Geisha (conclusion: I'm buying a kimono painting my face white and moving to Gion), slept, ate, drank. The usual stuff.
This outfit is a toned down version of what I wore on Christmas eve (a date where my camera had no batteries, unfortunately). Lately all I've been doing is mixing prints and colours, throwing on layers of clothing even if it doesn't really work, playing around with my resources (i.e. the black skirt - I turned it inside out to give it a bunched up effect). I'm so unbelievably excited to go to this exhibition, I am literally going to weep. Not to mention its 10 minutes from my Toronto apartment? It is fate, brothers and sisters, there is no other explanation. I ended up wearing this out to a club, where I typically tone down my wardrobe because of horrible prior experiences with nice clothes and alcohol in a simultaneous situation. I'll try and keep you guys updated more often until I go to Mexico on the 2nd, so keep a look out kiddies.
Blazer, thrifted. Floral jumpsuit, Topshop. Both skirts, H&M.
